As winter approaches and the temperature drops, it's important to make sure you keep safe in the cold. Earlier this week, a weather forecaster predicted snow could fall in parts of the UK this weekend - and the Met Office has said there is an 'increased chance' of wintry showers later this month.

In their long-range weather forecast, the Met Office said: "Temperatures set to be slightly below average overall throughout this period with an increased likelihood of wintry showers from the north and northwest at times." Colder temperatures might give our bones a good old freezing - and they can even do damage to the items that we leave inside the car, reports the Daily Record.
