family of four have been left stranded in the Australian desert after their campervan became bogged in torrential rain.The travellers, from Perth, alerted South Australia Police of their whereabouts when they set off their emergency beacon at about 10am on Friday morning from the Simpson Desert in South Australia.Stuck in their modified Mitsubishi Canter just over 90 miles northwest of the Aussie small town Oodnadatta, Orios, and Lindsey Zavros - along with their two kids Zoe and Zane - could be stranded in the desert for up to two weeks.This comes after a land rescue by South Australia Police has been hindered due to ongoing bad weather and flooding of surrounding roads.The family were caught out in one of two weather systems currently.
