First Afghan evacuees arrive in UK after terrifying escape from Kabul

Afghanistan has landed safely in the UK, according to a report. An RAF Airbus KC2 Voyager aircraft landed on August 17, reportedly carrying both British personnel and Afghan interpreters.

The plane, which touched down at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, is one of a number of flights expected to land within the next few days as efforts to evacuate from Afghanistan continue.

In horrifying scenes on August 16, crowds of Afghans desperate to escape from the Taliban regime were filmed chasing down jets along the runway with some clinging on to the wheels of a US military flight, reports Chronicle Live.The distressing footage showcased desperate stowaways plunging to their deaths from a plane as it left Kabul airport.There are reports that trapped.
