Salford amid reports of a gunman smashing in car windows. Just after 6pm on Thursday, August 27, a 'high police presence' rushed to Albert Street in Cadishead after reports of a man 'pulling a gun' from his waistband, using it to smash a car window.Firearms officers sped to the scene and launched a search for the man, who was found shortly after in Hamilton Avenue.Police arrested him on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an imitation firearm.In a statement posted on Facebook, Greater Manchester Police's Irlam and Cadishead neighbourhood officers said: "Just a quick post to dispel any rumours about the incident and high police presence in Cadishead last night."At approximately 18.05 police received a call about a male on Albert.
