police shot a bulldog dead after the animal attacked two people on Saturday night. Both of the injured people required hospital treatment after the dog attack in Greater Manchester.
Greater Manchester Police were called to Hope Street in Leigh shortly before 11pm and streets were cordoned off in the area, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The dog was put down at the scene and residents have described hearing gun shots.One neighbour said: "It is just so sad."I do not think I will ever forget the noise of the shots."Police said they are still trying to establish the full circumstances of the incident and no arrests have been made.
