Paisley dad Craig McClelland will discover if their appeal against a decision not to hold a Fatal Accident Inquiry has been successful later this month.

Lord Advocate James Wollfe QC rejected demands from the 31-year-old’s loved ones for a full investigation into his death just days before Christmas last year.They launched an immediate appeal against the Crown Office’s decision and will find out if it has been overturned on July 29.

Innocent father-of-three Craig, 31, was stabbed to death by blade fiend James Wright, who was unlawfully at large after removing his electronic tag in July 2017.

It emerged his killer had been on the run from police for five months after tampering with an electronic tag designed to monitor his movements.Justice.
