The family of a missing Edinburgh restaurant owner who vanished at a popular Scots beauty spot are desperately appealing for help to find him.

Richard Forbes was last seen at the Drift Cafe in the Canty Bay area North Berwick on March 18 at around 2.50pm. The popular 52-year-old, who owns the Smoke Stack eatery in Edinburgh’s Broughton Street, has not been seen since and concern is growing for his welfare.

A major police search has been launched to try to find Richard with a number of specialist resources, including the force helicopter, scouring the coastline.
