Rangers owner Charles Green has branded Police Scotland ‘corrupt’ following the decision to hand him almost £6.4m in a compensation payout for wrongful prosecution.
The Yorkshireman launched the blistering attack during a podcast with TV duo Richard Keys and Andy Gray while insisting that top cops could face criminal charges as soon as a number of ongoing cash claims - which could cost the taxpayer more than £100m - have been settled.Green was one of several people arrested during a fraud probe relating to the sale of Rangers to Craig Whyte in 2011.The case was abandoned and the 68-year-old was later told he had been subject to a “malicious” fraud prosecution.Green said: “The fans really got behind me and embraced me and that was the start.
