McKinley Franklin author TNT has announced an official premiere date for its scripted action thriller “The Lazarus Project,” which was previously set to come out earlier this year. “The Lazarus Project” will make its debut on Sunday, June 4 at 9 p.m. ET. The eight-hour drama will follow the story of George, The Lazarus Project’s latest recruit. The organization holds the power to travel back in time at any moment when the world may be on the brink of extinction. When one of George’s closest friends suffers an accident, he has to come to answer the question — “if you had the power to re-write your past, what would you sacrifice to do it?”  The television series was originally set to release on January 8 but was shelved by its parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, as it continues to adjust its linear network strategy. “The Lazarus Project” was acquired from the U.K.’s Sky Max, which aired Season 1 in June 2022. The show is now one of the few original scripted series left on TNT, as WBD has wiped most of the original fare off of TBS/TNT in favor of mostly acquired movies and TV repeats, along with sports.

Sophia Scorziello editor Happy death date: Netflix’s “Manifest” Season 4, Part 2 is set to premiere on June 2, nearly eight months after Part 1’s release in November 2022. The supernatural drama series returns with its final 10 episodes that continue the stories of Montego Air Flight 828 passengers who are making the most of their second lease on life. The first episode of Season 4, Part 2 will premiere at the ATX TV festival in early June, followed by an in-person panel with showrunner Jeff Rake and cast members. The return of “Manifest” coincides with the show’s infamous “death date,” June 2, which has been a recurring mystery throughout the series. It was first assumed by 828 passengers that June 2, 2024 marked the day they would lose their lives, but this season revealed it to be much more serious than that, with the “death date” marking the end of the world.

Netflix is ready to reveal when Part 2 of Manifest‘s fourth season will come in for a landing.

UPDATED, 9:22 A.M.: Warner Bros has unveiled the latest trailer for Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated Barbie film, which bows in theaters on July 21.

Charna Flam Margot Robbie comes to life as the famous figurine in the official trailer for Warner Bros.’ “Barbie.” Oscar nominee Robbie leads a star-studded cast that includes a muscular Ryan Gosling as Barbie’s boy toy, Ken. The two actors are not the only Barbie and Ken dolls in the film. Dua Lipa stars as mermaid Barbie, for instance, alongside many other actors as different iterations of the famous doll. The first “Barbie” trailer — featuring a nod to Stanley Kubrik’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” — officially introduced the world to Robbie’s Barbie, but it didn’t reveal too much about the characters or storyline. Since then it has been revealed that Barbie and Ken have been placed in the real world and forced to wrestle with the difficulties of no longer being just dolls.

Since the franchise launched in 1987, Street Fighter has sold over 49 million units worldwide, becoming one of the most well-known and highest-grossing video game franchises of all time. It also spawned other games, various spin-offs and crossovers featuring characters like Ryu, Ken, Chung-Li, Guile and M. Bison. Capcom is behind other popular games, such as “Resident Evil” and “Monster Hunter.”

Warner Bros. has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming comic book film, showing “Cobra Kai” star Xolo Maridueña taking flight as the superhero.Maridueña stars as Jaime Reyes, the third person to take up the mantle of the Blue Beetle in the DC comic books. In the trailer, when Jaime goes for a job interview, he’s handed a mysterious alien scarab inside a fast food container. He waits to open the container until he’s with his family, at which point the scarab attaches itself to Jaime’s body and transforms into a super suit — a surprising subversion of the classic comic book trope that the titular superhero has to hide his identity from his family and friends. In “Blue Beetle,” they know Jaime’s a superhero from the start.

What is happening with the current DCEU now that James Gunn is taking over and changing the entire direction of DC Studios? Well, there are four DCEU films still to be released this year, and one of them, “Shazam! Fury Of The Gods,” has already tanked. That likely means the end of that franchise.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director The search for the new Superman actor is not as far along as some social media rumors suggest. “Beyond the Trailer” host Grace Randolph recently took to Twitter to announce Gunn is “very close” to landing an actor to play the eponymous superhero in his upcoming “Superman: Legacy.” Randolph went as far as to claim the role “might even be cast” already or is in “final talks.” Not so fast. Gunn shot down the report and provided an update on his Superman casting process. “Not true,” Gunn replied. “Haven’t had a single talk with a single actor about the role. Just making private lists, prepping material for auditions.” Randolph took Gunn’s rebuttal as an opportunity to reveal her scoop that it was “Percy Jackson” and “Hunters” star Logan Lerman who is Gunny’s top choice for Superman. Gunn also shot down that claim.
