'Evil Dead Rise' Director Lee Cronin Reveals Four Possible Sequels

The film was released in theaters on April 21, 2023 and brought in $23.5 million in its first weekend. Director Lee Cronin has already been thinking about what’s next. “I didn’t want to bait it for sequels necessarily, even though the ending could be interpreted that way,” he said. The way the story is told, I’ve got four places I’d like to look at in terms of where to go…,” he told Variety. The first possibility is the origin of the Book of the Dead. “We have history in this film and that’s presented through the vinyl.
