Amy's character Tracy exited the village to start a new new job in Nottingham.Her exit came after Tracy discovered her boyfriend Nate Robinson had slept with Fiona Murphy.Amy is due to return to Emmerdale after her maternity leave and there are reports that her real-life partner Toby-Alexander Smith will be joining the cast as a new love interest.
Toby-Alexander played villain Gray Atkins in rival soap Eastenders. In a shocking storyline, the character was finally caught by police after the secret came out that he was behind the deaths of his wife Chantelle, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi.It's rumoured that Toby-Alexander Smith could earn a huge £500,000 a year if he land a role on Emmerdale.
According to Embryo, Toby could earn up to £2,000 per episode he stars in as statistics from ITV reveal that actors get paid between £400 and £2,000 per episode.
So, if he stars in the show five times a week he could earn up to £10,000 a week.If he signs a 12-month contract, he could get £520,000 per year.Head of Digital PR at Embryo digital marketing agency Jo Threlfall explained there could be a chance of seeing the actor on Emmerdale.
