Amy Walsh has admitted she was surprised that her baby was a girl as she originally mistook her for a boy after she'd just given birth.

The Emmerdale actress appeared on a recent episode of Loose Women with her partner, EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith, and their baby girl Bonnie who was born in December 2021.

The panellists asked if Amy was surprised when she discovered she'd had a girl, leading to the soap actress admitting she initially mistook the sex of the baby.The 34 year old explained: “Well, it was a surprise.They held her up to me and obviously I was so high on gas and air and two epidurals.They said, 'Look what you’ve got,' and I said, ‘It’s a Boy.
