Emmerdale Meena's dramatic exit will leave fans 'very satisfied' says boss Kate Brooks

Emmerdale boss Kate Brooks hopes viewers will be left feeling "very satisfied" with evil Meena Jutla's dramatic exit.Viewers have been waiting to see the evil nurse face justice for months after she caused the death of several villagers.She killed her best friend Nadine Butler and her own father before she even arrived in the village back in 2020.Meena has since murdered Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.She has also attempted to kill her own sister Manpreet Sharma as well as Victoria Sugden, Leyla Harding and Vinny Dingle.The manipulative character will finally get her comeuppance this week as Paige's final scenes play out.Producer Kate explained: "The audience have waited a while for this to happen."I think, and I hope, people will be very satisfied.

I think viewers will enjoy the ending."I feel like how we punish her and how she leaves the show is very fitted to her crimes and character."Kate also explained it was time to end her story to a close and give her the finale she deserved but killing her off was not an option.She explained: "There was a temptation to carry on with Meena but somebody capable of such heinous crimes cannot stay long in the village. "We take away the one thing she craves more than anything - attention and infamy and notoriety.

Once that is removed what has she got left?""She realises quickly this is the worst fate imaginable. Worse than death."Kate also admitted that the inspiration for Meena - who has been on the soap for 18 months - came from Killing Eve cruel and cold blooded assassin Villanelle played by Jodie Comer.

The soap boss added: "I'd be lying if I said it didn’t crop up. There are definite elements of Villanelle to Meena. "She enjoys the kill and there are dark comedy.
