Emmerdale's Lydia Dingle has had her fair share of family tragedy on the ITV soap - but now fans reckon they've discovered a key twist which could finally bring her some happiness. After she first arrived in the Dales and struck up a relationship with Sam Dingle, it was revealed that 'Lydia Hart' wasn't her true identity - and her real name was actually Jenny Finn.Lydia was placed at a children's home in Hotten when she was just five years old, as her mother was too poorly to take care of her.

When she was just 15, she fell pregnant with a boy in her maths class, but the baby was sadly a stillbirth.Terrified, Lydia buried him in the woods of what later became Hotten Academy and ran away, later assuming the identity of her dead housemate. She later fell pregnant on two more occasions with her husband Steve, though miscarried each time. But now fans think she could finally find some happiness on the programme as she reunites with a long-lost family member - her sister. And some are even sure they've rumbled the identity of her missing sibling in an epic twist - Marlon's nurse, Gail.Taking to Facebook, one fan wrote: "She looks a lot like Lydia… maybe the mother had twins and gave her up at birth and kept Lydia as she couldn’t look after both?

Makes sense as her and Sam have a storyline coming up."As another added: "Does anyone else think nurse Gail in #Emmerdale could somehow be Lydia’s long lost sister?

They look weirdly alike…"It comes as Gail actress Elizabeth Boag announced she's come to the end of her Emmerdale journey - but that doesn't mean she won't be back. She wrote on Twitter: "Bye Gail!
