ITV bosses have confirmed that Emmerdale and Coronation Street have just weeks left on air as both soaps begin to run out of filmed episodes.
The channel's boss Kevin Lygo confirmed during a virtual meeting on Thursday that Emmerdale will remain on screens until the end of May and Corrie will stay on air until the end of June.
Last month, both soaps were forced to cut down their weekly broadcast of episodes as they were forced to halt production due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking during an online question and answer session at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Kevin revealed that there are currently plans for Emmerdale to stay on our screens until the end of May.
