Elvis Presley first met Ann-Margret in 1963 just before they started production on the King's 1964 movie, Viva Las Vegas. In the Hollywood movie, the pair played lovers, but off-screen their relationship blossomed in a similar fashion, sparking one of the most romantic love affairs the King had ever embarked on in his life.

After just over a year of being together, Elvis was forced to break up with Ann-Margret, prompting him to return to Graceland and be with his fiancée, Priscilla Presley (then Beaulieu).
