EastEnders legend Rita Simons, who rose to fame as Roxy Mitchell on the BBC soap, has shown her love for her little girl as she took to screens.Rita shared her encouragement for her daughter on Instagram, as she told her followers to tune in.One of the BBC star's twin daughters, Maiya Silveston, was on the show to promote her new TV drama alongside her co-stars Scarlett and Krish.Maiya, 16, plays Kaz in Silverpoint, which is a drama about four kids who went missing in the woods in 1997.The major BBC show, which spans 13 episodes, is an adventure camp how that turns very sinister.Maiya's character Kaz runs away from the base in the dead of the night to make the others follow her, but is stunned to find something strange in the woods.Rita previously spoke about her daughter's new role on the show while speaking on ITV show Lorraine last year.She said: "Maiya is currently away.

I can’t say where and I can’t say what she’s doing."But it’s gonna be in March it’s coming out and she’s doing a lead role in a drama, in a sci-fi."She told Christine Lampard: "I’m very proud of her."She’s been gone since the beginning of May and she’s not back until the end of September.

I can’t say any more than that."She’s only just 15, she’s had to do all the cleaning and cooking, washing for herself. I’m very proud of her."Rita and her husband were in a relationship for 14 years but divorced back in 2020.Fans were left devastated when her character Roxy was killed off alongside her sister Ronnie back in 2017, just hours after Ronnie's marriage to long term love interest Jack Branning.EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC.
