Loose Women panellists, Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Gloria Hunniford, discussed the heart wrenching topic of co-parenting through a separation. One of the topics covered in new ITV drama Our House is the issue of putting on a brave face for the children. The main protagonist’s husband turns up on her doorstep to tell her that their kids are "asking about Mummy" and suggests that they give it a go "for an afternoon".Host Christine Lampard, who had styled her long, dark hair in loose curls and wore a burgundy blouse with puffed sleeves and a leopard print pattern, asked her co-stars what they thought of the notion. She turned to Janet Street-Porter first, who said that she was once married to someone but "within 48 hours realised it was a big mistake".Janet then admitted that she bought her husband out and purchased their marital home from him which made her "value the house so much".She told Christine: "I didn’t have children, but I did have my house."Coleen then added her thoughts to the conversation: "I had to leave, I tried to make my marriage work and we stayed in the same house, probably for two or three years longer than we should have."She explained that the reason she stayed in the house was because she "didn’t want her kids to be from a broken home" as she "doesn’t think it’s a great way to bring kids up".The 56-year-old said she didn’t want to leave the impression that "that’s how relationships are" and tried to avoid them "growing up and thinking that was a normal relationship" because "it wasn’t".She went on to explain that her kids were seeing other children’s parents "holding hands and having a laugh," whilst at home Coleen "was one end of the couch and he was down at the other".
