Paige Spiranac has poked fun at former golf world number one Justin Thomas after he appeared to top a shot while practicing at the Masters.
Thomas was striking some practice shots on the driving range at the iconic Augusta National with his caddie, Jim 'Bones' Mackay, watching on.
And in a clip widely shared on social media, Thomas appears to be left red-faced after hitting a terrible shot - if you can even call it that. The 28-year-old looks to have badly mishit the ball, which simply bounces tamely along the ground to the right.
And Spiranac shared a clip of the shot with the caption: "One of us".Responding to Spiranac's tweet, one fan joked "He has to have done that on purpose lol!" Another added: "Pros do that?"However, several fans claimed that there was actually a second ball Thomas was looking to hit which goes flying off-screen while the second bounces away. "He actually doesn’t top it," wrote one fan. "If you look close, it’s another ball next to the one he’s hitting.""That's a drill...he actually hit the correct ball and this was there to ensure he didn't come over the top (which, obviously, he did)", added another. "He didn’t top it… it’s another ball", wrote a third. What's the most embarrassing shot you've ever seen from a pro golfer?
