Driver in critical condition after car smashes into house

Emergency services rushed to the collision in Ridge Hill Lane just after 1am yesterday morning (Saturday May 15). The driver - a woman - was taken to hospital and three passengers received minor injuries, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
The corner of a house was completely destroyed in the crash and Ridge Hill Lane was closed in both directions. A number of people living in the street were also evacuated.
