A baby girl died just days after being born from a catastrophic brain injury – despite her parents being told she was fine. Lyla Morton had to be delivered by emergency C-section then resuscitated as she was born not breathing.
Her mother Heidi Mayman, 31, had told midwives she feared something was wrong with her daughter before delivery as she couldn’t feel any fetal movements.
But she was told there was nothing wrong and four days later, the tot tragically died. Heidi and her husband Dale Morton, 30, from Batley, West Yorkshire, are now urging women to speak up if they feel something is wrong during their pregnancy.
