Disney has pledged to donate $5million (£3.9million) to groups advocating social justice, following the death of George Floyd.

Floyd died in Minneapolis after he was arrested and a white police officer knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes, despite him insisting he couldn’t breathe.

His death sparked anti-racism protests across the US and the rest of the world honouring the Black Lives Matter movement and Disney bosses have announced they will be donating as call for change.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek revealed that $2million (£1.6million) will be donated to civil rights organisation, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), while the remaining $3million (£2.4million) will go to different causes working
