'Disgust' after flytippers dump huge mound of stinking industrial waste on field

The rotting pile of rubbish, including items such as cardboard, mattresses and household furniture, was discovered on land off Huddersfield Road, in Stalybridge, on Saturday evening (June 12).

It is believed flytippers cut the lock to a gate in order to access the site near Sandhill's car park, Coun Liam Billington, who represents Stalybridge South on Tameside council, slammed the flytippers' actions and said he had been left 'disgusted'.
