A "Walk for Women" will be held through Manchester city centre to mark International Women's Day. Following a two-year hiatus, hundreds of women and supporters of women will be able to proudly walk through the city centre on Sunday, March 6.
Participants are encouraged to make the most of their voices by joining in with chants and singing. The walk will start at 12.30pm on Liverpool Road outside the Castlefield Urban Heritage Park, and will go down Deansgate before ending outside of Manchester Cathedral.
The total length of the walk is around 1.3km. Large groups, businesses and organisations are encouraged to get involved and register for an official place in the Walk for Women.
