Derby County midfielder Louie Sibley has taken to social media to call for help after a man allegedly punched his girlfriend unconscious in a vile street attack.
The 20-year-old England youth international told his Twitter followers that at 2am on June 13 his partner was attacked by a man and a women in Nottingham, which left her needing to be taken to hospital to have stitches.
Sibley has called for anyone who might have relevant information to come forward to aid in the ongoing police investigation after the pair ran away from the scene as shown in CCTV snaps added to his post.
He wrote, alongside the CCTV grabs and a photo of his injured girlfriend, on his open Twitter profile: "Early hours in the morning at 2am in Nottingham on upper parliament street my girlfriend was attacked several times by a man and a woman."She ended up in hospital and had to have stitches due to the man who punched her and knocked her out, leaving her unconscious."This coward of a man attacked such an innocent girl.
