The death of a man whose body was found in woodland is now being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed. The man, thought to be aged in his 40s, was tragically uncovered in a wooded area in Crewe on the evening of February 22.
Police responded to a report of a body that had been found in the woodland, running between Dunwoody Way and Chester Street.
Officers attended and found the body of the male at the scene, where he was pronounced dead. The man, a Slovakian national who was living in Crewe, has now been formally identified and enquiries to contact his Next of Kin are being carried out by Cheshire Constabulary. Enquiries are ongoing to establish how he sustained his injuries and whether a crime had occurred. The man was a Slovakian national who had lived in Crewe for some time.
