The injunction was first filed in December 2024 to verify the validity of its contracts with NewJeans to “ensure its continued legal enforcement”.

Soundtracked by an energetic EDM instrumental, the clip features new logos for each member in the form of cookies, against a bright rainbow backdrop.It was followed by another similar clip posted on March 2, featuring similar visuals with what seems to be a different portion of the same song teased in the first video.

HYBE is teaming up with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder to launch a new boyband.Announced on February 20, the project will kick off with a global talent search, with HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk, HYBE America CEO Scooter Braun and Ryan Tedder at the project’s helm. Per Billboard, a training programme fusing HYBE’s K-pop development programme and Tedder’s creative direction will commence in Los Angeles after members of the group are chosen.Tedder has a history of working with HYBE acts, including the with company’s US-based girl group KATSEYE for ‘Debut’, Japanese band &TEAM for ‘Dropkick’ and Korean boyband TXT for ‘Back For More’.

In the announcement, member Hanni alleged that the five-piece had been shunned by ADOR.“This is not the type of work ethic we respect and not one we want to be a part of, and to continue working under a company with no intention of protecting NewJeans would only do us harm,” Hanni said (via BBC News).She would also go on to allege “mistreatment, not just towards us [NewJeans] but also including our staff”, as well as claiming that the members experienced “deliberate miscommunications and manipulation in multiple areas”.“[ADOR is] a company that no longer has any sincerity in the art of music that is created, is rather fixated on appearing like a well-working company despite only having thoughts about making money, and does not have any conscience about the negative effect they create through their non-authentic means,” she later added (as per Music Business Worldwide).The planned departure comes as the latest chapter of a long-running conflict between Hybe’s chairman Bang Si-hyuk and former NewJeans producer Min Hee-Jin.According to various reports, NewJeans said they would like to continue working with Min Hee-Jin – who left ADOR in August amid accusations that she had planned to split from the company and take the K-pop group with her.She has denied the accusations levelled against her, and the debate comes as the two have run into a dispute before.

K-pop agency ADOR, which is home to girl group NewJeans, was recently spotted taking photos with fans in Tokyo.On June 26, several fans spotted the ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin out in Shibuya, Tokyo and began taking pictures with her. One fan later uploaded a clip of Min posing for photos with several fans while a small crowd gathered around her.The clip has since garnered over a million views on X (formerly Twitter), with many users commenting on Min’s growing popularity amid her ongoing feud with ADOR’s parent company HYBE and founder Bang Si-hyuk.

HYBE, home to K-pop juggernauts BTS, have inked a new 10-year “global alliance” with Universal Music Group (UMG).HYBE – also home to other K-pop groups such as SEVENTEEN, NewJeans and more – announced an expanded agreement with UMG. The new deal will give UMG “exclusive distribution rights” to HYBE releases for the next 10 years, while HYBE’s roster of artists will have access to the former’s “global network”.The new agreement will also see UMG further working with HYBE’s fan platform Weverse, in order to “[bring] more of a direct connection between UMG artists and their fandom[s]”.

BTS have renewed their contracts with Big Hit Music, a subsidiary owned by South Korean media giant HYBE.This is according to a statement by Big Hit Music, as seen by several South Korean news outlets including Yonhap News Agency and Sports Chosun, following a decision by the company’s board of directors.Per Sports Chosun, the renewal of the BTS members’ contracts will not all happen at the same time. Instead, they will happen individually and sequentially, taking into account the military service status of the various members.“With the renewal of their contracts, we hope will be able to share with everyone a full group promotional period for BTS in 2025,” the K-pop agency said in the statement, as translated by Koreaboo.

HYBE, home to K-pop superstars BTS, is set to sell off its entire stake in SM Entertainment.Today (March 24), HYBE announced that it would accept a tender offer by South Korean internet giant Kakao and sell its 15.8 per cent stake in K-pop agency SM Entertainment, as reported by Reuters.HYBE’s share of SM Entertainment is worth about ₩564billion (roughly US$437million), based on Kakao’s March 7 tender offer to buy up to 35 per cent of SM Entertainment for ₩150,000 per share.According to Reuters, the planned sale of SM Entertainment shares by HYBE would net the K-pop giant a profit of around US$87 million, which is roughly 25 per cent higher than the price the company originally paid for the shares.Following the announcement, shares of both Kakao and SM Entertainment companies went up about half a per cent, as of 1:30pm KST.
