Your father-in-law’s attempts to control your daughter’s education choices. The possibility (no more than that) that he may in some way be involved in this new contact between the sisters.
Your stepdaughter’s motives for communicating with your daughter… And so on.And then there’s your own obvious wish to control – your father-in-law’s input, the terms of your daughter and her half-sister’s engagement… it’s a cat’s cradle of control issues.
Sometimes we have to accept that the way other people behave, and their motives for doing so, are beyond our power or right to influence.
