A daughter gambled and lost £30,000 of her terminally ill mother's entire life savings after plundering her bank account - leaving her with just 18p.
A court heard Sharron Morgan ripped off £34,171.50 from her disabled mother over a four-year period. The 49-year-old, of Barnstaple, North Devon, appeared at Exeter Crown Court where she admitted fraud by abuse of position.
She was 'entrusted with access to her disabled mother's bank account' in which she was expected to safeguard, not act against the financial interests of her mother.
