tennisbad boy Nick Kyrgios - calling them "disappointing" and saying they "probably have a low IQ."Medvedev came through a testing encounter against the exuberant home favourite, who wowed the crowd with his usual array of delicious shots and emotional reactions.Be that as it may, Kyrgios didn't have enough in his locker to beat the world ranked No.2, with the Russian winning 7-6, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.Speaking after the match, tournament favourite Medvedev complained about being booed during the contest, an outburst which seemed to prompt more of the same from the home crowd.

However, on-court interviewer and two-time Australian Open winner Jim Courier suggested the noises may have actually been the crowd saying "Siuuu", a football chant made famous by Cristiano Ronaldo.Medvedev, though, was not impressed. "I came to win this match and I am happy that I managed to do it," he said."That's the only choice when you are booed between first and second serves."Later he told Eurosport: "It’s not anger [but] it’s a little bit disappointing. "I guess it’s normal, everybody experiences it, especially when you play a home favourite and not just a home favourite but Nick.Do you think Medvedev will win the Australian Open?
