Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has described Cristiano Ronaldo as a “top professional” after the superstar added another personal accolade to his huge haul.
The 36-year-old was bestowed a special achievement award at The Best FIFA ceremony on Monday for breaking the international men’s goalscoring record.
His double for Portugal against the Republic of Ireland in September’s World Cup qualifier saw him surpass Ali Daei’s Iran record of 109 goals and has since increased his tally to 115.
Ronaldo was also named in the FIFPRO Men’s World XI for 2021 alongside Manchester City 's Ruben Dias and Kevin de Bruyne. Speaking ahead of United ’s game with Brentford on Wednesday via the club’s official website , manager Rangnick sang the praises of his player, describing him in the highest regard.
