A grieving father was forced to listen to the sound of a bear killing his daughter in front of his grandson during a disturbing phone call.
Stephanie Blais, 44, was killed by a black bear outside their family cabin in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, on Thursday. Her dad Hubert Esquirol told how he was on the phone to her at the time and heard 'disturbing gurgling noises'.
He said Stephanie's nine-year-old boy Eli sadly witnessed the fatal, unprovoked attack from inside the cabin. Hubert spoke to CKOM about the incident and the last call he had with his daughter.
