DaBaby is facing a new lawsuit from Tyronesha Laws, the woman whom he appeared to strike during an afterparty at a Tampa nightclub on March 7.
Video of the incident, which circulated on social media the following day, appeared to show the rapper striking Laws. She is suing him for battery, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to court documents viewed by Pitchfork.
Laws’ complaint cites “injuries about her face and head” as well as “extreme mental and emotional distress” caused by the incident and subsequent “social media threats” she has received from others following the incident.
