Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Ralf Rangnick to make a change to the Manchester United side to help both himself and the team.

For his usual standards the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been in shocking form in recent weeks. He has scored just one goal since the turn of the year and endued his longest drought in front of goal in his club career since 2009 when he first left the Red Devils for Real Madrid.United have remained hard to beat yet uninspired themselves, prompting an emergency meeting between Rangnick and his senior players following the 1-1 draw with Southampton earlier this month.According to The Athletic, Ronaldo was most vocal of those present and pushed the idea of him having a strike partner.Playing two up top is a system that has been used on and off by United this season. It was first deployed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 3-0 victory over Tottenham last October as the 37-year-old was flanked by Edinson Cavani in a 4-4-2.Rangnick briefly tested it following his appointment in a 4-2-2-2 but the tactic was ditched following the 1-0 defeat to Wolves on January 3.Man Utd fans - which formation do you want to see?
