A neighbourhood in England has a 30% higher Covid infection rate than anywhere else in the country. Infection rates across Kent and Medway have been consistently amongst the highest in the country for the last few months.

5 of the worst 10 areas in the country  are in Kent with Swale still having the highest infection rate of anywhere in the country (742.3 per 100,000) But in one neighbourhood in Swale, the situation is even more alarming.

Sheppey East currently has an infection rate of 1732.9 per 100,000 - the highest of any neighbourhood in Kent and England. That means one in every 57 people in the area tested positive for Co-19 in the seven days prior to December 11.
