The House of Representatives on Monday voted to override President Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, a critical defense policy bill.
In order to override Trump’s veto, two-thirds of the chamber needed to vote against it. The vote count came to 322-87. The Senate is scheduled to take up the same vote this week on the $740 billion bipartisan defense bill, which has passed each year dating back to 1961, according to Reuters.
