Coronavirus: Nadine Dorries' statement in full as Tory Minister tests positive for bug

Health Minister Nadine Dorries has tonight confirmed she has tested positive for coronavirus. The Tory MP fell ill on Friday last week, The Times reports, and she is now in isolation and understood to be recovering.

Dorries had recently attended a reception with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and was in close contact with hundreds of people in Parliament in the past week.

It is not known who infected the minister, who helped to draw up legislation to tackle the disease and has been working in parliament and the Department of Health and Social Care for the past week.
