Restrictions on public transport in parts of Britain are about to be eased, reports claim today. The UK Government now wants people to return to workplaces rather than stay at home as it says this will boost the economy.
But current guidance for England states people should consider "all other forms of transport" before using trains, tubes, buses and trams.
Face masks are compulsory on all public transport too. However, Boris Johnson has reportedly said everyone must go to regular workplaces "if they can". "I think everybody has sort of taken the 'stay at home if you can' - I think we should now say, well, 'go back to work if you can'.
