By Tom Grater International Film Reporter UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has become one of the country’s most high profile figures to contract the coronavirus.
Johnson confirmed the news in a tweet, saying he had developed mild symptoms, including a temperature and a persistent cough, and on the advice of the country’s chief medical officer Chris Whitty had been tested.
As a result of the positive diagnosis, he is now self-isolating and working from home with his staff via video, but will continue to lead the country as it navigates the crisis, Johnson added.
