Brits could see 20,000 soldiers flood the streets, taking over hotels and turning them into hospitals and driving oxygen tankers among other measures as the fight against coronavirus sees London go into lockdown.
The new "Covid Support Force" will see troops step in as major shutdown measures are brought in, restricting travel and seeing thousands of Brits self-isolate while the Government is looking at powers to keep people at home.
Amid fears the NHS will be overwhelmed, uniformed medics could step-in to help as part of the Covid forcem which has been placed at high readiness.
