Steel unions plead for industry to lead economic recovery from coronavirus

Steelworkers today urged Boris Johnson to place the industry at the heart of Britain's coronavirus recovery. Major unions launched a campaign calling for the fragile sector to lead the economic fightback from Covid-19.

With the Government planning to “build, build, build” back from the unfolding jobs disaster, Community, GMB and Unite said British steel could be the catalyst for a boom.
