Coronavirus case confirmed at primary school days before England-wide reopening

Coronavirus has been discovered at a primary school just days before pupils across England return to the classroom. Parents and carers of students at the Woolaston Primary School in Lydney received a letter explaining that an individual had tested positive for Covid-19.

The person is believed to have contracted the the deadly virus at a holiday club that was being held at the school, reports GloucestershireLive.

Acting headteacher Emma Gomersall said the school underwent a deep clean on Wednesday and Thursday following the discovery. Those who were in contact with the individual who has Covid-19 have been 'identified, contacted and know if they need to exclude themselves from school'.
