CLEAN It Fix It star Maxine Dwyer has lifted the lid on what her day job is really like away from the cameras - and says it makes the feelgood BBC show seem like a breeze.

The extreme cleaner has teamed up with Ground Force legend Tommy Walsh and carpenter Asher Edwards to transform viewers' cluttered homes in just one day.

While the series sees her find slugs in a bathroom and a nasty collection of hair and crumbs down the back of a sofa, it's nothing compared to the filthy homes she's usually faced with.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, she said: "We go to places where you have to wipe your feet on exit. It takes sometimes six hours to get through the front door and that's the two of us.
