manchestereveningnews.co.ukChilling CCTV footage has captured a man torching cars on a quiet residential street in Bury. The hooded man can be seen dousing two vehicles in Valley Avenue with petrol before setting them alight in the early hours of Monday morning.
Quick-thinking neighbours alerted the people living in each home just as the flames were spreading to one of the properties.
One family had to be rescued from their back garden due to the blaze melting the windows and door to their home. A man, who asked not to be named, used a fire extinguisher to try and rescue his burning Mercedes. "It was really scary," he said. "We are in total shock at the moment. "If the fire brigade got here any later, next door's house would have set on fire." Security cameras on
