Pupils as young as ten could be taught to masturbate a few times a day to 'relieve stress' during adolescence, new lesson plans have revealed. The sample plans, which also feature animated videos, are part of the K-12 health and sex education curriculum adopted by the New Jersey Board of Education in the United States. One of the proposed lessons aimed at fifth graders is an animated video, titled, 'Masturbation: Totally Normal,' which aims to teach kids about puberty and sexual anatomy. The quirky cartoon sees a boy taking off his pants and then getting underneath sheets before grabbing a tissue and another shows a girl using a hand-held mirror to examine herself. The video tells children that pleasuring themselves 'a few times a day' is a 'physically safe way to express sexual feelings' and promotes it as 'a way to relieve stress.'However, the lessons have sparked outrage as Senator Holly Schepsi tweeted: "The agenda has swung so far left in an attempt to sexualize our precious children that parents are fighting back. "Based on the overwhelming outreach I have received from parents, Democrats should expect a reckoning this fall."But a spokesperson on behalf of Westfield Public Schools defended the plans saying that the materials were a 'simple list of resources' rather than official state policy. For the latest breaking news stories and incredible tales from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here.Superintendent Dr Raymond González said: "During a presentation at the February 22 Board of Education meeting, we provided an update on the district's work to revise the Comprehensive Health and Physical Education curriculum.
