Cambuslang Rangers boss Paul McColl says big-spending clubs are “ruining the game” and that could prevent a rapid return to the West of Scotland First Division.The Wee Gers have been relegated this season as Maybole did enough to retain their status, and McColl says it’s going to be tough to get back out of the Second Division.But he has signed 18-year-old striker Godson Nechi on a new deal and hopes to keep 50 per cent of last season’s squad, as Cambuslang Rangers essentially start from scratch.McColl said: “It’s normal to say that you want to go straight back up, but it’s not as easy as it sounds or looks.“Two other strong teams have gone down [Whitletts Vics and Neilston] and you’ve got some teams that have come up.“All these teams are catching up, they’re all paying good money and they’re all getting better set-ups and all that stuff.“Once you start paying a bit of money, players will come to you.
