Call of Duty DOWN: Modern Warfare and Warzone Server latest as COD lag and queues return

Earlier this week on April 28 Infinity Ward released a new 15GB Modern Warfare and Warzone update. The patch primarily replaced the game’s bounty contracts with a new Most Wanted player contract.

Plus there was a new tweak that allowed players to carry up to eight armour plates instead of five. There was of course plenty more changes and bug fixes, but it seems the update has created one unintended consequence.

Lag and server issues. All Friday reports of the game's servers struggling grew throughout the day with more players complaining of issues.
