Cagney & Lacey are turning their attentions from villains on the loose to Loose Women – 32 years after their hit cop series ended.
The crime-fighting duo – Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly – are to appear on the ITV show for their first joint TV interview in more than a decade.
Sharon, 77, made her name as hard-drinking policewoman Christine Cagney, while Tyne, 74, played Mary Beth Lacey. Watched by millions every week, the show was set in the fictionalized 14th Precinct in New York City and ran for 126 episodes through the 1980s.
It played heavily on the contrast between the two women’s lives – Lacey a married mum and Cagney single and career-minded. Their appearance is part of Loose Women’s Reunion Week, which will also feature EastEnders duo
