Britain’s loneliest dog has finally found her forever home after spending a lonely decade by herself in an animal shelter. Bess the collie cross was a “difficult” dog who could not trust humans after years of constant rejection.
But a nationwide appeal saw desperate bids to re-home Bess flood into the centre from across the country. Every day since they launched their appeal, the Last Chance Animal Rescue in Edenbridge, Kent has been inundated with hundreds of emails and each morning staff at the centre would come in to find “between 50-60” messages left on their phone.
And after whittling it down from thousands of eager applicants - Bess has found her perfect match - a couple without children in their home, no other pets and some land
