Strictly Come Dancing pro Giovanni Pernice has reportedly employed lawyers to help clear his name following allegations of abuse.
The dancer has faced allegations from several of his former partners including a complaint made by actress Amanda Abbington who quit the competition prematurely last year.
A spokesperson for Giovanni told The Sun that a lawyer is acting on his behalf - and confirmed the BBC are investigating.The spokesman said: “Schillings is engaging with BBC Studios to provide it with Giovanni’s evidence to strongly rebut the claims being made about him and confirm that Giovanni is fully cooperating with that process. “As with any reality TV show, when decisions are being made for entertainment reasons, the producers have a duty of care to all participants.” OK!

This comes after the reports that the BBC bosses are going through hundreds of hours of training footage following allegations against the dancer.The Sun reported that producers have been instructed to review extensive footage from the dance rehearsals amid claims surrounding Giovanni's teaching methods.
